Training

I offer teacher training and consultancy to support the development of media education (particularly on moving-image media) in schools. My main expertise relates to the 3-14 age range, and to the critical analysis of media rather than to creative activity. My fees are negotiable.

Training
I can provide an introductory presentation making the arguments for media education as an integral part of literacy at any age, and/or a workshop exploring techniques for the analysis and discussion of moving-image media in the classroom. I can also organise a full training day on both critical and practical aspects of media education, bringing in one or more colleagues for the practical sessions. Consultancy
I have provided consultations to a number of different organisations in the UK and elsewhere. My consultancy work has included advice on policy, project development, research design, resource development and training. My extensive experience and wide range of contacts means that I have a good overview of the field of media education in the UK and to some extent internationally.
